And all the wonderful volunteers who gave us their time and support. It wouldn’t have worked without them!
The first Heritage Sprint at Betteshanger Park kicked off superbly in the heatwave of 2022 with a fantastic display of sprint racing and exhibition of stunning show books. And it all kicked off on the Friday evening with a briliantly funny show given by former GP racer Steve Parrish.
Having listened to and read some incredible feedback from visitors and competitors we felt that the foundations had been laid for East Kent's biggest biking event to become a regular fixture.
After a change of owners at the Park followed by 2 years of Covid and lockdown uncertainty we finally managed to get a show for everyone. And everyone seemed to love it!
Our 2-day festival in Sandwich included guest speakers such as Steve Parrish, a couple of Barry Sheene’s original bikes and a full programme of live music.
One day event with 5,000 visitors, lots of exhibitors, race bike displays, gourmet foods and family activities creating a thundering rev up!
A weekend event with over 7,000 visitors, over 50 classic bike entries plus a load of other attractions including Wall of Death, trade stands and live music.
