15 & 16 August 2020

The Location

Betteshanger Park itself is a fantastic 250-acre space that offers kids and adults adventure areas as well as cycle tracks for road and mountain bikes (when the Sprint weekend is not on!) Camping is available at an adjacent site with just an 8-minute walk to the Sprint action. And there is easy access off the main A256 Deal to Sandwich road. Parking is free with a secure motorcycle (and Blue Badge holders) area near the entrance and a quick Park and Ride scheme operating for all cars.

The Event

The Heritage Sprint is not just a static show, but a chance for classic Road and Race machinery built prior to 1986 to be fired up and blast a timed 1/8th mile Sprint. There will also be a wide range of classic machines on display, live music playing in the evening, lots of trade stands and some excellent food and drink available. Alongside the event kids can use the adventure equipment and adults can try tasters with the military-style physical training group who operate here.

Would you like to take part?

Are you looking to Sprint your bike? Entry numbers are strictly limited and will be available on a first come basis.  Full regulations and entry forms are available here.

Beyond the track, the key to make any event successful is always the quality of displays and the people who come along – this was what made the Sprint Revival, Rev-Up and Bikes at the Bay such great fixtures.

For the Heritage Sprint we’d really like to see as many clubs and individuals as possible exhibiting machinery at the event. There is enough space for some large stands – tell others about what makes your marque the best and let’s see some great exhibits. Is your pride and joy a custom machine, an outrageous road bike, a nut and bolt restored classic? Put it on show!

We also want to see crafts people and customisers show off their skills and products. A marquee will be available to host folk who can do demos of their work – upholstering, painting, polishing/cleaning, engraving, wheel building etc. Promote yourselves and talk with customers about how you can help with their re-builds or custom projects.

People also come along with money in their pockets and a hunger in their bellies!

So if you would like put up a Trade stand at very reasonable rates please complete the form and return it to us. If you are running a catering business offering interesting and good value food please let us know. Catering concessions are managed separately and will be offferd subject to numbers of stalls and type of food

Whatever you plan to bring to the Sprint, with more than 4000 people expected over the weekend you will have a great audience!
